Crafting Loglines

 

 I wrote a blog post about how to craft a logline and it was quite popular, so I decided to add it to this site.

 

 Loglines (also known as elevator pitches) can be useful, although sometimes a little tricky. It seems an almost impossible task to reduce your novel into one sentence. The truth is it takes practice as well as a few deep breaths and a good strong cup of tea.

 

The trick is not only getting as much of the pertinent information into that one little sentence but also keeping it slick.

 

I've taken a handful of my own loglines and broken them down in the hope that they may shed some light on things.
